Imayna Caceres
Imayna Caceres (she/they) is a researcher-artist from Lima-Callao who lives in Vienna and works with the teachings of plants and other local entities, rethinking forms of spiritual-political knowledge that transcend the human and sustain community and interdependent life.
Her work draws from her inheritance of practices from the tropical Andes of northern Peru and from the ecosystems of her biography, both past and present.
Her recent projects include Underground Bloomings (2025), Recipes for Survival (2024), Vital Knowledges (2023); The Plant That Is Conscious in Me (2022); Cosmic, Planetary, Community (2022); and Postcards for Healers (2020).
Imayna is a PhD candidate in Philosophy at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She holds degrees in Sociology, Communication Sciences, Fine Arts, and a master's in Artistic and Cultural Sciences. She is part of the Latin American diaspora in Vienna active around antifascist feminist ecopolitical issues and for buen vivir.
